I’m seeing “To view this content, you must be a member of Erin Ptah’s Patreon at $0.01 or more
Unlock with Patreon Unlock with Patreon”
same here…
When I click the big orange login button (and I am already logged in on Patreon), I get: {“error”:”invalid_request”,”error_description”:”Mismatching redirect URI.”,”state”:”eyJmaW5hbF9yZWRpcmVjdF91cmkiOiJodHRwczpcL1wvbGVpZmFuZHRob3JuLmNvbVwvMjAyMFwvMDRcL2hlbHAtbWUtdGVzdC10aGUtd29yZHByZXNzLXBhdHJlb24tcGx1Z2luXC8ifQ==”}
Thank you for addressing this problem! I’m getting the same error as everyone else (and, of course, the link started with `https//` instead of `https://`), but I hope you manage to fix this!
On my phone the url somehow morphed into base64 garbage, then something from email.mailgun.patreon.com *plus* base64 crud, then eventually I got the leifandthorn url back but starting with http://https//leifandthorn…
And now that I’m here, same error as everyone else π
Ugh, that’s a whole other problem with Patreon’s text editor garbling the URL π Thanks for finding your way here!

testing, testing, does commenting logged out and just with name and email give me my gravatar back
Huzzah!
And yeah, it’s a whole standalone sign-in, that comes with a default avatar until you manually set one. You might be able to link it with your gravatar — try signing in again and checking for “Edit My Profile” in the menu.
Gravatar is convinced my icon is still the Pokemon trainer one, and when I log out and log back in using the WordPress button it’s still this Patreon fox. ;-;
Yeah, the fox is a WordPress default, it won’t change automatically — you have to find the setting and edit it yourself.
You’d think I’d be able to by going to “Edit my profile” and then clicking the link that says “You can change your profile picture on Gravatar.”, but that’s what gets me *to* Gravatar, where I’m logged in as [my one in-use email address] and there’s precisely one image and it’s my Pokemon one. So I’ve been going in circles for a while and occasionally yanking on my hair.
When you use “Log in with Patreon” for the first time, it auto-creates a user profile in my database, and it looks like that process can be glitchy? So I’m going to try deleting the profile. The next time you sign in it’ll generate a fresh one, and hopefully that’ll come out right.
If not, might be worth starting a support post to see if the forum has any advice.
Fingers crossed…
Well, whatever you did fixed the icons on my previous posts, but up in the top left corner is the familiar Fox What I Have On Patreon, and the profile editing looks the same… Testing testing again.
Aaargh. I will start a support post in the morning when my brain is not 50% goo by volume.
Ok, according to the person who responded to my support post:
“Yes, the login procedure currently overrides your current avatar if you didnt already have one. You can install a WP avatar plugin to allow you upload an avatar to override everything.”
So I guess the ball’s in your court.
Having looked over all the user lists again — there are definitely a couple people who, either their gravatar was connected successfully, or…they just uploaded the same image to both their gravatar and their Patreon icon.
Is there any reason you wouldn’t want to replace the fox on Patreon?
Mild to moderate inconvenience, since I’m not sure I have the full image and it would vex me if the size Gravatar gives me to copy is too low-res for the highest a patron’s icon goes to. That having been said, my Patreon settings are in a different tab and I am editing my icon there now.
I’ve changed my icon on Patreon to my Pokemon trainer one.
The website has picked up the Pokemon icon!
Indeed it has!
yup, It works now
Yes.
Perfect, now it’s working! And Camilla is a beautiful and glamorous Queen of Kolpovision, I really like this picture!

Also, amusingly, google asked if I needed a Polish-to-English translation for the below…

Ooh, awkward.
Patreon has a specific support forum for the WordPress plugin — it blanked out for me on Firefox, but loads fine in Chrome:
https://www.patreondevelopers.com/c/patreon-wordpress-plugin-support/11
