The gap between “how other people see the Woman in Black” and “how the WiB sees herself” is…unusually wide.

Would you believe, this is [the last piece of] non-exclusive bonus art from Leif & Thorn Volume 3? Here we are, deep into the Volume 4 campaign, and I still have Volume 3 extras to post.

If you want to see the exclusive bonus art — in this and all the other books — and you haven’t already picked up the full backlist, the current campaign is a great place to do it. Just saying.

Real-world: a study found COVID vaccines are good for your mental health!

They also seem to help some people with lingering post-virus physical symptoms. It’s not what they were designed to do, and as of this writing we don’t know why they’re doing it — but the data say it’s happening.

They don’t have Halloween in Ceannis…but IRL it’s October, so let’s get scary!

Trivia: I originally drew that shot of Kudzu for the strip where the cult expert gives Bennet her talk. Ended up deciding it would be more effective to fill that space with “copy-and-paste repeats of the Northwind staffers’ faces, but with Glowy Eyes of Mind Control this time.”

Bonus points to anyone who digs up all the other previous strips that are referenced here.

Sketchbook: Magical Goldenrod

Original design for Goldenrod, the psychic parole officer.

In canon she doesn’t have the cape — they’re a sign of a high-level magical girl, and I decided she shouldn’t be that powerful (yet). She hasn’t been seen with the scepter yet either, but maybe one day…

Her big appearance is all in Volume 4, so I figured I had to share this just in time for the Volume 4 print campaign.

Patreon supporters, remember this alternate ending from Borrowing Trouble? And how part of the reason I scrapped it was, it was too random and coincidental to be narratively satisfying, there wasn’t enough setup?

Well…here is some setup. Just in case I decide to bring it back.
