Shining, shimmering, splendid~

Tell me, princess, now when did you last let your heart decide?

I can open your eyes!

What a view, it does make me wonder why they go up so high though, rather than just get high enough to take a direct path. Maybe it’s easier to go at a slope, so they take a parabolic route?

The two moons also give me an idea, the potential for eclipses is tripled! I would love to see one moon eclipsing another!

Honestly: artistic license. A long shot was (a) easier to draw and (b) easier to re-use for other contexts in future strips.

…The ground rises as you go away from the lake/river, so there’s probably a hill where you can go a little ways off the ground and get this kind of view in the distance. But that just raises the question of “why would they take a detour that far south?”

Feels like I should hire someone to make a model of this whole system, so I can have a well-balanced idea of how often the different eclipse combinations happen and what they look like. I do know the Small Moon is too small to cause a full-on solar eclipses — maybe I’ll write in a cool solar transit sometime…
