New bonus page in Leif & Thorn: Off-Shoots: Balsam assigns herself a new position, improvised on the spot.
Hyacinth: Ugh, it’s no fair my parents won’t let me start getting tattoos until I’m eighteen.
Hazel: They’re pretty, all right, Hyacinth . . .
Me, I don’t know how to pick something I can be sure I’ll still want on my body in 50 years.
Hyacinth: No pressure to get one if you don’t want, Hazel! But for me, I have so many gorgeous ideas I love that my biggest problem is picking a place to start.
WiB: How about: Stained glass window with the moons shining through, surrounded by a full sleeve of black roses and ghost moths, dog skull at the top with the horns branching up over the shoulder.
Hyacinth: That’s AMAZING! Are you some kind of tattoo-designing genius?!
WiB: Nah — I just cribbed the ideas from my really cool cousin.

okay, this is a *really* cute time loop.
cousins!!
I’m with Hazel. I’d love to have a few tattoos, but picking designs is hard, especially when I’m bad at designing tattoos. I do have one on my shoulder to memorialize my cat. Long story short, I couldn’t see him before he passed, but I got a dotted line tattooed over the place on my shoulder where he had accidentally scratched me. I am glad I decided to do it!
Awww that’s cute. It’s nice to see Hyacinth and Hazel again, I missed them 🖤
An artistic bootstrap paradox
Only if she won’t forget it.
