Tansy: So how did engineers from Tamapoa get involved in Ceannic disaster relief? I know there are contractors from Sønheim working at this mine, but I didn’t think any of your people were involved.
Mata: Not directly!
It’s part of a trade agreement. Tamaputians need gems and metals as much as you people do, but the good stuff is buried too deep for us to dig up alone.
So we get raw materials from all the partners in the Continental Mining League! And in return, we’re bound to help CML mines — like this one — when we can.
Tansy: How often does a mine need someone to design a whole new kind of drill?
Mata: Not a lot! Most of our help is more along the lines of “carrying stuff through really tiny passages.”
