I’m just remembering Imri and Stanczia offering Iona a Bite because she didn’t show fear… This may be just how Vampires introduce themselves in this setting.
Or how Stanczia introduces herself and Imri and other younger vampires picked up the habit. Remember she is crazy old. Like no one speaks her first language old. Including most other vampires. She is likely one of the oldest if not the oldest vampire alive in the modern day. She likely set at least some trends that are now “common knowledge” about vampires.
