Again with the pivoting from “distressing comic” to “good news”…the Leif & Thorn Volume 4 Kickstarter is funded!
Another $300-ish, and we’ll hit the first stretch goal:
Red: L-Lady Stanczia!
The prisoner’s really sick and I can’t even get up these stairs to tell anyone how she needs a hospital and she’s got the bruma worse than I ever did but there are worse cases on the news that still survived if she can just get an airlift or —
Stanczia: . . . All right.
Just this once, I’ll carry you up the rest of the stairs.

Pfft, okay. Stanczia’s like a pet owner who only really registered the whining to get up the stairs part, huh. Can’t say I don’t relate!
Is Stanczia just doing that because it’s funny to know Red is off trying to save the person Stanczia is eating, unaware that it’s too late?
Not quite. This also helps remove Red from the area so they freak out about it less around Stanczia. She doesn’t care that they’ll freak out, she just doesn’t want to be bothered by it.
It’s nice that she’s helping! =D
There are kinds of helping that helping’s all about,
and there are kinds of helping that we can all do without.
And then there’s this. Mind you, she’s going to be doing one of the other two soon enough.
Congratulations on being fully funded. I wish someone would carry me up the stairs like that
Okay, I know she’s not being cute, shes being dismissive of the real problem, but it’s still… just a little cute. Sorry, everybody, this one got a chuckle out of me.
That’s the vampires in a nutshell!
They’re like if you flipped the power dynamic between cats and humans, without making any change to the cats’ personalities or emotional capacity. Awful little monsters in such an exaggerated way that it’s kinda funny…from a safe distance.
I think in general cats have more empathy than you’re giving them credit for, but to go along with the joke that cats are little bastards who would hunt us without remorse, I can agree that that’s a vibe the vampires give off.
