The experience of “having your magical-girl powers blocked, and then getting them back” is fairly unusual. And most of the people who get their powers blocked in the first place aren’t very nice. So here’s Kale having a therapeutic chat with Famous Historical Figure, Magical Telga.

“Having your magical-girl powers blocked, and then getting them back” seems like it wouldn’t be THAT rare. I can see it being standard OP for some situations. Don’t want a disoriented fire mage waking up in a hospital and panic blasting around. I can see plenty of kids having an awakening from parental abuse, bullying, or just an unhealthy rivalry that got out of hand, and needing to be brought back to normal until they’ve dealt with those urges.

Even Acai isn’t able to stop all the dark magis before they go bad, but Ceannis is clearly a culture that accepts people can come back from that first dark step many victims take.

On the other hand, you don’t want a disoriented fire mage having even more reason to panic by having powers blocked.

And remember that children are screened for magic talent. Preventing the cases of awakening from parental abuse, bullying, or just an unhealthy rivalry that got out of hand might be one of reasons WHY.

So putting power blockers on someone may not be THAT common, and even less common to do that for prolonged period of time.
