I covered Rowan’s terrible relationship track record a while back, so let’s see how Birch and his fiancée are doing.
Birch is Ceannic-born, but of Getsunese descent; “Baker” is a Getsunese last name. Annie, short for Anise, is Ceannic (specifically, Aibreán).
We’ll have a storyline about their wedding…at some point. Lots of other stuff has to go down first.

I am impressed with Birch’s leg strength – even if he’s being slow and steady, he’s doing, with his one leg, an exercise that most people do with a significant portion of their entire body.

Umm, if you only row one oar without rowing the other, you turn in a circle. In fact, that’s how people turn when rowing or canoeing; they only row one of the oars.
It’s hard to see because of the angle, but he’s supposed to be rowing both of them.
