Back to the vampire AU!

I made a behind-the-scenes post about these pages back in January, so I’ve had these waiting in the wings for a while. Thought about pushing them back far enough so this arc would end in October…but Leif and Thorn aren’t getting much panel time in the main storyline, and I was starting to miss them.

Leif: Thorn? Are you awake under there?

Thorn: Good evening, fair keeper of the grounds.

Leif: You seem perky tonight!

Thorn: Oh, hey, yeah: exciting news!

While you were asleep, I caught a deer! It didn’t even notice me, and then — death from above.

Leif: Wow! That’s the biggest animal you’ve caught, right?

Thorn: Sure is. I didn’t actually kill it — and I still got so much to drink.

Leif: Does that mean you’re not thirsty now? I heated up some svartsoppa already . . .

[ba-thump ba-thump]

But if you don’t want any . . .

Thorn: I do! I always do! Your blood is delicious! — Soup! Your blood soup is delicious!
